Gary Kuntzelman Obituary

Gary D. Kuntzelman was a beloved husband, loving father, compassionate uncle and loyal friend. He touched the lives of so many with his vibrant spirit and hearty laugh! Gary lived and breathed for the GREEN BAY PACKERS! He definitely lit up every room he entered. He was respected and admired from his colleagues. He inspired everyone around him to “do the right thing!” Gary always was watching football, basketball or playing golf! He passed away from a long illness of dementia on November 26, 2024 at the age of 80, with his wife and daughter by his side.

Gary was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, the only son of Donald and Sophie Kuntzelman. Gary was married to his beautiful wife, Cathy for over 44 years. He was a plumber by trade with the Local 23 Plumbers & Pipefitters and was a loyal E-Rab to the end (graduated in 1962).

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Cathy Kuntzelman; treasured daughter, Kimberlee Kuntzelman; only son, Kevin Kuntzelman; loyal sister, Carol Kuntzelman; appreciated brother-in-law, Michael Sullivan; cherished nieces, Michelle Parker and Katie Sullivan; admired nephew, Matt Sullivan (Brittany); treasured great-nephews, Bryce Parker (Leticia) and Declan Sullivan; and birthday-partner great-niece, Addison Adolphson.

The family extends their appreciation for Northern Illinois Hospice and Dr. Williams, as they tried to extend his life to the best of their abilities. Bestie Ed Asp was a treasure to the family as he would pick up Gary to go to the LLL Club or just go watch a game and have lunch. Gary would look forward to those dates so very much! Gary also had a special place in his heart for Deb Toll, whom she always called Gar-bear!

We know that Gary is resting in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. That brings us peace until we are together again.
