Gail Elaine Larson

Gail Elaine Larson, 81, of Byron passed away March 21, 2023. She was born August 3, 1941 in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of Erwin and Mary (London) Briegel. A graduate of East High School. Gail was employed by Clinton Electronics in Loves Park and the Rockford Public Library. Gail enjoyed traveling near and far, whether it be to Michigan, Hawaii, Yellowstone, England or to the Virgin Islands. She had a voracious reading appetite and loved crossword puzzles and scrabble. Gail always felt fortunate to care for her grandchildren, Jacob and Lucas Jurasek, as they grew from infants to adults with her.

Survivors include children, David Larson of Mesa, AZ, Scott Larson of IL, Pamela Larson of IL; grandchildren, Jacob Jurasek, Lucas (Mary) Jurasek; sister, Janet (Bob) Glass and many distant relatives in Wisconsin, Michigan and Arizona. Gail is predeceased by her parents; sister, Linda (David) Hoppe and brother, Steven Briegal.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 31, 2023 in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, 6202 Charles Street, Rockford.
