Frederick "Boo" Albrechtson

Frederick “Boo” Albrechtson Jr., 86, of Rockford passed away at home on Monday, September 19, 2022, with his family by his side.

Born January 2, 1936, in Rockford, the son of Fredrick and Bergit (Andersen) Albrechtson. Fred served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps attaining the rank of Sergeant.

He married Sharon Lee Robinson on November 14, 1959. Employed for many years by Sadewater Electric, Burlington Northern Railroad and Reed-Chatwood.

Fred was the consummate family man. He supported his sons’ sports and recreational activities: attending baseball games, going fishing, and Aaron’s Special Olympics bowling tournaments. His faith in Jesus Christ was of utmost importance to him. He and Sharon attended Aaron’s special needs Sunday school class. He loved spending time with family at gatherings on weekends and holidays. His unique sense of humor and face-making talent were captured in many home movies.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; sons, Kevin (Stephanie) Albrechtson, Keith (Rachel Kinison) Albrechtson, Aaron Albrechtson; sisters-in-law, Charlotte Gardner, Anita Van Blaricom, Becky Whitlow; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his parents; sisters, Audrey Sadewater, Eleanor Harezlak; sister-in-law, Cindy Loring; and brothers-in-law, Edward Harezlak, Henry Sadewater, Greg Van Blaricom.
