Frederick Ramon Johnson, 76, passed away in the early morning of March 18, 2024. Born July 20, 1947, son of Leonard and Marcella (Papich) Johnson. He graduated from East High School. Class of 1965. After graduation he worked at Rockford Machine Tool until it closed, he then worked for John S. Barnes until he retired. He played softball in the RIAA industrial league and bowled in many leagues as a junior bowler and as an adult, Fred belonged to the LLL Club and Blackhawk Club. As an avid fisherman he went on many fishing trips with LLL Club every fall. The highlight of Fred’s year was hosting an annual Thanksgiving Tom & Jerry brunch for well over 40 years, where a good time was had by all.
Survived by his wife, Judy (Hausman) Johnson; son, Stacy Lee Johnson; daughters, Tracy Lynn Johnson and Rebecca Jo (Dustin) Johnson; granddaughter, Madilyn Ava Johnson; grandson, Maddux Mason Johnson; brother, Terry (Pat) Johnson; sisters in law, Valerie Johnson and Sandra Stewart and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; brother, William Johnson; nephew, Joey Johnson and brother in law Glenn Stewart.

A memorial service for Fred will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2024, in Honquest Funeral Home with Crematory, Mulford Chapel - 4311 N. Mulford Rd. Loves Park, IL 61111, with a memorial visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial of cremains will take place at Arlington Cemetery.
