Frank R. Whitehead, Sr.

Frank R. Whitehead, Sr., 88, of Beebe, AR passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in Generations at Neighbors in Byron, IL. Frank was born on February 18, 1934 in Corning, AR to Toby and Lelia (Whitaker) Whitehead.

Frank was a machinist in Rockford, IL for 25 years and a water plant operator in Edwardsville, IL for 20 years. Frank loved reading the Bible, collecting coins and watching old movies. He enjoyed watching and feeding the birds and the other wildlife. Family was very important to him.

He is survived by his children, Debbie Y. (Kevin) Goike-Kean, Jack L. Whitehead, Frank R. (Diana) Whitehead, Jr., Kevin E. Whitehead, Tonya R. (Stuart) Humphries; grandchildren, Heather Whitehead, Mike Januszewski, Kim Whitehead, Frankie Whitehead, III, Justin Whitehead, Ashley Wolf, Stephen Paul King, Sherry Sweat, Tracie Kesecker; numerous great-grandchildren; his brother, Wendell “Wilkie” (Sylvia) Whitehead; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son, Mark A. Whitehead; his parents; and 6 siblings.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, May 9, 2022 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 10:30 AM until time of service.
