Frank Louis DeRosso, 82, of Loves Park passed away Friday, March 6, 2020. Born March 2, 1938 in Rockford to Florian and Mary (Pozzani) DeRosso. Married Nancy Tangorra on July 16, 1960 in Rockford. Employed as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator by BFI Waste Management for 32 years and by Venice Terrazzo and Tile Company for 6 years. Attended First Free Church, Rockford. Frank enjoyed restoring old cars especially the 1938 Chevy and the 1957 Ford Retractable. You could always find Frank in the garage during the summers talking with his buddies about cars. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include wife, Nancy DeRosso; daughter, Josie (Jeff) Wicklund and her children, Ben Wicklund, Zach (Kayla) Wicklund and their son, Barrett, Chelsi (Matt) Sell; son, Frank L. (Wendy) DeRosso and his children, David (Michele) DeRosso and their son, Logan, Krystle (Justin) Durcholz and their children, Madelynn, Brody, Aaliyah, Edyn, Delaney, Valentina; son, Joe (Kari) DeRosso and their daughters, Anna and Norah DeRosso; siblings, Mistica Scholtz, Jack DeRosso, Florence Bobert, Marie (Frank) Barone; and sister-in-law, Linda DeRosso. Predeceased by parents; infant brother, Anthony DeRosso; brother, Natale “Nat” DeRosso; brother-in-law, Ralph Scholtz; sister-in-law, Paula DeRosso.
Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in First Free Church, 2223 N. Mulford Road, Rockford with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Private entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
