Frank J. Curatolo, 90, of Roscoe, IL passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024. Born on July 3, 1934, in South Beloit, IL to his parents, Matteo and Caterina (Montaldo) Curatolo. Frank graduated from South Beloit High School class of 1952.
Frank found his soulmate in Audrey McLean and together they were married for 61 years. Frank served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1959 when he was honorably discharged. He served with great pride and commitment to our nation. Frank worked as a local grocery store manager for many years before retiring.
Frank had a real knack for caring for his outdoor space, he spent a lot of time making sure his yard was well-kept. He loved spending time in his garden as well. In his downtime, Frank enjoyed hunting small game, especially pheasants, rabbits, and ducks, spending many hours in fields and marshes.
Frank was a wonderful friend who brought so much joy and warmth into the lives of many. He will be missed more than words can say.
Frank is survived by his children, James Curatolo and Julia (Steven) Haseleu; grandchildren, Aislynn (Tanner) Dixon, Samuel Haseleu, Jadyn Haseleu and Bryanna (Matthew) Griffin; many loved nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Predeceased by his adored wife, Audrey Curatolo; parents; siblings, Mary Harris and Joe Curatolo; 4 sisters-in-law, and 6 brothers-in-law.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Honquest Funeral Home - Roscoe Chapel, 11342 Main Street Roscoe, IL, 61073, at 12:00 PM, with a visitation starting at 11:00 AM, until the time of service. Burial will immediately be following at Roscoe Township Cemetery.
