Eva Mae Harrington, 81, of Rockford, IL passed away June 18, 2022. Born August 11, 1940, in Chidester, Arkansas, the daughter of Core and Minor Hollima. Eva married James Edward Harrington Sr., and together they raised 4 children. Eva graduated from East High School. A member of Allen Chapel where she was an usher. She was a chef for the Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club as well as Jacks or Better restaurant. She worked at Gunite Foundry and then retired from National Lock and Key.
Survived by her children, James Edward Harrington Jr., Chris Y. Harrington Johnson, Brian Monroe, and Michael Mario Harrington; her sister, Estella Jefferson; nephews, Giles and Harlan Jefferson; grandchildren, Brandon Gordon, Brian, Shanosha, Shadi, Brianna Harrington, and Shinisha Wilson – Harrington; great-grandchildren, Me’shache Gordon, Jaiden, and Jorden Cooper, Mariana Thompson, Chinaza Harris, Elijah Champ; and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband, James Sr.; her parents; brother, James Holliman; and sisters, Juanita Glover and Ruthy Mae Graham, as well as A.Z. and Julian Jefferson.
