Elizabeth "Betty" A. Kubala-Kurtz

Elizabeth "Betty" A. Kubala-Kurtz, 61, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Born June 27, 1957 in Chicago to William and Marilyn (Gordon) Beke. Married James Kurtz, Sr. on August 18, 2018. Elizabeth enjoyed traveling and playing bingo. She loved her dogs and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include husband, James Kurtz, Sr.; sons, William “Will” Kubala, Patrick “Pat” Birdwell; grandchildren, Julieanne, William, Johnathan; and brothers, Curtis (Lauren) Gilgan, Greg Gilgan, Kevin (Mary) Gilgan. Predeceased by parents.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. Burial in Scottish Argyle Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2019 in the funeral home.
