Edward N. Marx

Edward N. Marx, 95, of Rockford peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the age of 95.  Dearly beloved husband of 74 years to Marjorie Kurshner.  Loving father to Edward A. (Leslie), James L. (Judy), Linda R. Holder, Steven A. (Lilyann), Randy E. (Pamela) and Kathy L. Stonecipher (Richard).  Adored grandfather to 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  Edward is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Kathrine Marx; his loving wife, Marjorie; and 3 siblings,  Deloris, Jayne and Gerald.

He was born and raised in Barron, WI.  Edward moved his family to Rockford, IL.  Retired after a long career with Sundstrand.  He was a Navy veteran of WWII.  Edward enjoyed working on cars, working with wood, and riding his Harley. If it could be fixed, he could fix it.  In his retirement years, he and his wife enjoyed making crafts and traveling in their 5th wheel.  His easy manner, quiet sense of humor, and soft spoken words, will be memories to be treasured. Edward will be deeply missed.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park 61115.
