Dumitru "Danny" Stoica

Dumitru “Danny” Stoica, 58, of Roscoe, passed away on May 11, 2025, and was reunited with his beloved mother. Born on October 26, 1966, in Romania, Danny was the son of Augustin and Sofia (Grancea) Stoica. Danny pursued higher education and graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1993 with a degree in Marketing and Management. He went on to build a successful career, eventually serving as a Director of Finance. Danny lived life to the fullest and found joy in adventure. He enjoyed skydiving, flying and hiking, and was known for his deep love of animals and children. 

He is survived by his father, Augustin Stoica; his sister, Camelia Zaha; and nephew, Edward Iancu. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sofia.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported and touched his life, especially throughout the past year. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a cause close to Danny’s heart.
