Duane O. Skaar

Duane O. Skaar, 84, of Rockford, passed away after a long illness on March 21, 2025 with his family by his side.  He was born in Viroqua, WI, on July 14, 1940 to Otto and Avis (Bessey) Skaar.  He has been married to Sheila (Harmon) Skaar for 60 years. He graduated from Viroqua High School and worked at Chrysler in Belvidere for 30 years.  Duane loved working outside and going to the casino to play his penny slots. 

He is survived by his wife, Sheila; children, Robin Renay Skaar Perez and Lance David Skaar; grandson, Gabriel Perez; sister, Cheryl Skaar Gavin; and nephews, Greg Skaar and Gary Skaar and Matt and Scott Gavin.  Predeceased by his parents and brother, Tyrone Skaar.

The family gives special thanks to Dr. Jacob for all his help.
