Douglas Frank Klarman

Douglas F. Klarman, 86, of Machesney Park, IL died after a long illness on Friday, September 25, 2020. Douglas was born on July 19,1934, the son of Charles and Retha Klarman of Grant County, WI. Douglas loved his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchild. Douglas was a devout Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Savior in 1948. He was a member of Windsor Baptist Church in Loves Park, IL. He was witty, had a great sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes. He married Georgia (Barr) Klarman on June 1, 1956 in Grant County, WI celebrating 64 beautiful years together. Douglas will be deeply missed by his family.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Klarman; daughter, Dawn (Ronald) Clark; son, Jeffrey (Pamela) Klarman; grandchildren, Christopher Klarman, Brittni (Nicholas) Malady, Emily Klarman, Katie Clark; and proud great-grandfather to Ireland Malady. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marjorie (Cletus) Kirschbaum.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2020 in Honquest Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL, with Pastor K.D. Bodwell of Windsor Baptist Church officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Scottish Argyle Cemetery, 8901 Picken Road, Caledonia, IL. Celebration of life luncheon to be held at a later date.
