Doris Noble Obituary

Doris E. Noble, 84, of Rockford, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 after a long illness.  She was born on February 16, 1941 in Rockford to Monroe and Ida (Larson) Johnson.  She went to Stillman Valley High School.  She resided in Yorba Linda, CA for 40 years before returning to Rockford where she was set up with Gary Noble by mutual friends; they were married in Rockford.  Doris worked at Kaiser Permanente and volunteered at UW Health Carbone Cancer Center.  She enjoyed bird and squirrel watching, nature and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Noble; children, Ginger Dyreson, Chet Dyreson, Troy (Heidi) Dyreson and Kelly (Tony) Modirpour; step-children, Brent Noble and Renee (Paul) Vick; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Patty Dodd, Joyce Stephens, Carol Strang and Shirley Erboe; three brothers, Vernon Johnson, Johnny Johnson and Tommy Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents, Monroe and Ida Leona (Larson) Johnson; brothers, Eugene Johnson, Bob Johnson, Bill Johnson and Leroy Johnson; and sisters, Beatrice Johnson and Susan Gable.

The family wishes to thank UW Health Carbone Cancer Center for their care.

Memorial service will be at 11:00am with a visitation from 10:00am until the service on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 in Court Street United Methodist Church, 215 N. Court Street, Rockford, IL 61103.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to UW Health Carbone Cancer Center, 3535 N. Bell School Road, Rockford, IL 61114.
