Denise Davini Abraham

Denise Davini Abraham (Clancy), 71, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully at her home early morning Sunday, July 31, 2022 after a 6-week long battle with extreme depression and perfect storm of physical ailments that ravaged her following the sudden loss of her beloved husband of 30 years, Wally, just 7 months ago.  She was born January 17, 1951, to James Davini and Kathleen Tucker in Los Angeles. After graduating from Guilford High School, she began a 5-decade long journey as a master in upholstery, landscaping and interior design. Denise’s one-of-a-kind, custom works populate her home and countless others around the city.  She will be remembered fondly for her natural beauty, high-energy, and talents for creating beautiful things, along with the love and support she provided for Wally, her children, and grandchildren. She loved horses, dogs, fast cars, art, antiques and cooking up amazing feasts for her family.

Denise was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Abraham, Jr.; her father, James Davini; and mother, Kathleen Tucker. She is survived by her sisters, Nanette Davini Johnston (Peter) and Marianne Davini Thomas (Marty); son, Jason Clancy (Jennifer); daughter, Amber Clancy; grandson, Tanner Clancy (Gabriella); granddaughters, Jordan Clancy and Amora Carvajal; and great-granddaughter, Agnes Sophia Clancy Flores. 

Funeral service will be at 6:00pm with a Visitation from 4:30pm until the service on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to a local animal shelter or rescue.
