Dawn S. Martin

Dawn S. Martin, 51, of Rockford passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014, surrounded by her loving husband and family. Born November 13, 1962, in Rockford, the daughter of Bob and Judi (Kobischka) McDanel. Dawn married her best friend Tracey D. Martin on September 18, 1982.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Melissa (Kelcey) Williams; son, Christopher (Mandy) Martin; grandchildren, Elijah, Addisyn and Caleb; father, Bob; sister, Dana Hood; brother, Todd (Tammy) McDanel; grandmother, Maxine; aunt, Jeanne (Gary) Sutherland; special cousins, Andie, Tracy, Monica; nieces, Kelly, Sydney, Brianna; nephew, Justin and numerous family that she loved so much. She is predeceased by her mother; grandmother, Gert; grandfathers, Kip and Herbert as well as special aunt Dorothy.  

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 1, 2014, in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd, Rockford, with Rev. Msgr. Glenn Nelson officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday September 30th in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park.  Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Rockford.
