David Stimas, 50, of Garden Prairie, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, July 26th, 2026. He was born on 4/8/1976 to Roy Stimas Sr. and Helen Stimas.
David was employed at Conagra in Darien, WI. He enjoyed watching movies, working on his Jeep, driving his lawn tractor, and cooking out on the grill.
In the earlier part of David's life, he graduated from Belvidere High School, where he played football, wrestling, and track. After high school, he attended an automotive technical college where he used his skills to find work at a Mercedes-Benz dealer in Henderson, Nevada, and Rancho Cucamonga, California. After that, he went on to truck driving, where he worked as a company driver before buying his own truck and trailer and starting his own business.
David had a funny sense of humor; he was kind to everyone he met and never judged or spoke badly of anyone. He could be a bit stubborn at times, and when he had a goal in mind, there was no stopping him.
His passing was unexpected and has left many who knew him shocked and saddened, but that sadness can also be turned into great joy knowing that David is back home with the Lord.
He is survived by his brother, Roy Stimas.
He was preceded in death by his father Roy Stimas Sr., and his mother, Helen Stimas.
