David Clark

David “Dave” Clark, 69, of Loves Park, Illinois, passed away at home on Thursday, June 11, 2026, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on March 3, 1957, in Rockford, Illinois, to Bobbie Clark and Francis Monaco.

Dave married the love of his life, Janise Clark, in 1978, and together they shared 48 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion to their family.

After earning his associate’s degree, Dave dedicated 42 years of service to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 364, before retiring. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and pride in his profession.

In his free time, Dave enjoyed fishing and boating, playing baseball, and following NASCAR racing. He was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite teams. He was also a proud Eagle Scout and carried the values of scouting with him throughout his life. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and loved ones.

Dave is survived by his wife, Jan; daughter, Stephanie (Derek Woodhouse) Clark; son, Michael (Christine Deems) Clark; beloved dogs, Bandit and Rizzo; aunt, Margaret Archer; and many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Francis Clark; brothers, Donald Clark and Daniel Clark; sister, Kristy Wynn; and his grandparents.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to OSF Hospice, Greg and Carol Bennett, Dani Bowen, Nancy Schwartz, and Jeff Smith for their love and support through the family’s hard times.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
