Darlene F. Jenkins

Darlene F. Jenkins, 79, passed away on November 7, 2025, with family by her side. She was born on June 6, 1946, to Carl Specht and Geraldine Eddy Specht. She married Dave Jenkins on February 16, 1963. They were married for 62 years. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her most.

She is survived by her husband, Dave Jenkins; children, David and Tamie Jenkins of Byron, Ben and Monika Jenkins of Germany, Kim and Dave Burch of Wisconsin Dells, Jeff Jenkins of Wisconsin Dells, Shane and Alena Jenkins of Sun Prairie; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donna Ross, Darwin Specht, Debbie Fry, and Diane (John) Norton; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Carl and Geraldine; brother, Darrell; and sister, Dorothee.

Darlene will always be remembered for her love and care she gave to her family and friends. We couldn’t ask for a better wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will miss her dearly. Her memory lives on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory–Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111, at 11:00 AM, with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial to follow at Monroe Center Cemetery.
