Daniel “Don” Campos, 41, of Machesney Park, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on April 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family, and was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior.
Daniel was born on February 6, 1985, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to Artemio Campos and Rosario Toledano. He spent his formative years in Orlando, Florida, graduating from Oakridge High School in 2003.
Daniel dedicated four years to his work as a property manager with Premium Property Services in Beloit, Wisconsin, where he built strong relationships and took pride in serving others. With an entrepreneurial spirit and a shared dream for the future, he and his fiancée, Courtney, later went on to open their own business, DnC Properties, creating something meaningful together through hard work and determination.
A man of deep faith, Daniel found joy in serving his church and living out his beliefs each day. He embraced life with a warm spirit and a ready smile. Whether cheering on the Chicago Cubs or the Chicago Bears, tending to his beloved garden—especially his prized hot peppers—or working with his hands in carpentry projects, Daniel found fulfillment in the simple, meaningful moments of life. He especially loved being outdoors, grilling, and smoking meats to share with those he cared about.
Daniel will be remembered for his playful sense of humor and his gift for making others laugh. More than anything, he was devoted to his family and friends, loving them wholeheartedly and unconditionally. His presence brought light to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family gives special thanks to City First Church, the staff at Javon Bae ICU, especially Morgan.
He is survived by his fiancée, Courtney Susan Parson; children, Mariah Campos, Naudiah Campos, Brennan Klein, Liam Klein, Alexa Stoner, Eva Parson, and Silas Campos; parents, Rosario Toledano and Artemio Campos; siblings, Artemio Campos, Gabriel Campos, and Ivette Berrocal; and nieces and nephews, Camilla Kirkland, Valentina Campos, and Ines Berrocal. Preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his niece, Adriana (Bella) Campos.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 30th, 2026, at City First Church, 5950 Spring Creek Rd. Rockford, IL, 61114, at 11:00 AM, with visitation starting at 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will immediately follow at Scottish Argyle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
