Dale A. Wieman

Dale Allen Wieman of Roscoe, IL, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025 at the age of 72. Born December 14, 1952 in Arlington, Minnesota, the son of Don and Marvel (Wilmson) Wieman. Dale graduated from Arlington High School in 1971 and achieved a degree in agribusiness from Southwest State University in Marshall, Minnesota. Dale moved to Roscoe in 1980 to raise his family, living there the remainder of his life.  

Always a farmer, Dale valued hard work and obsessed about his projects till completion.  An accomplished hunter, fisherman, and storyteller, he was known for his bold ideas and fabrications. He received more joy taking friends salmon fishing, than catching fish himself. Dale cherished his hunting land, and devoted his life creating a habitat sanctuary to be enjoyed by his children and grandchildren forever. 

Survived by his wife, Mary Ruth Wieman; three children, Justin (Nicole) Wieman, Emily (Lew) Schrader and James (Samantha) Wieman; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Karen (Dale) Chance and Roxanne (Jeff) Johnson with nephews and nieces. Preceded by his parents and hunting dogs. 

A Memorial Service will be at 1:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life in the Harmon Hall on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Roscoe United Methodist Church, 10816 Main St., Roscoe, IL 61073.
