Dale A. Edwards

Dale A. Edwards, 71, of Rockford passed away July 20, 2022. Born October 14, 1950 in Rockford, the son of Homer and Yola (Gille) Edwards. A graduate of West High School class of 1968. Married Laurie Sannes on January 29, 1988 in Rockford. Employed at Walmart for 15 years and achieved the 2-million-mile safety award. In his younger years Dale enjoyed golf, softball, coaching girls’ softball and yearly family fishing trips. More recently he enjoyed pool league with his son and nephew, Mark.

Survivors include wife, Laurie Edwards; children, Jennifer Edwards, Allan (Heather) Edwards, Michelle (Jimmy) Germann, Chris (Jeni) McPeake; grandchildren, Haley (Matthew) Ballew, Camden Edwards, Jazlyn Edwards, Chris Germann, Thomas Germann, Malanie Germann, Natalie Germann, Kathryn McPeake, Robert McPeake, Braelyn Colebaugh, Colton Ballew; sister, Linda Ratze; brothers, Russell Edwards and Howard Edwards. Predeceased by parents.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial in Willwood Burial Park, Rockford.
