Chad M. Williams

Chad Michael Williams, 46, of Rockford passed away May 1, 2023. Born April 3, 1977, son of Roxann J. and Michael Williams. He was a 1995 graduate of Guilford High School. Chad married Sunshine Garrelts on December 10, 2005, in Christ United Methodist Church.

Chad worked for Rockford Charitable Games as a consultant for over 20 years and continued his career at Liebovich Bros. as a programmer. He was an avid comic collector and enjoyed attending Comic-Con, playing poker, and spending time with his family. Chad shared his passion for comics with his Youtube channel, @ChadRCG Collectibles. 

Chad is survived by his wife, Sunshine; children, Arianna (Carlos) Rosario, Anthony (Jada) Leon, Gabby, and CJ; parents, Roxann Williams and Michael (Diana) Williams; grandchildren, Axton, Dominic, Leilani, and Luna; sister, Sophia Arnold; brother, Alex (Stephanie) Williams; aunts, Laura and Christine; uncle, Bradley; and cousins, Jennipher, Chris, Lauryn, Michelle, and Sabin.

Predeceased by his grandparents, Leeland and Mary Ann Schmig, Curly and Gock Williams, Joanne and Masedonio Saenz, Iris and Harold Garrelts.

Celebration of life will be held Monday, May 8, 2023, from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM in The Lombardi Club, 209 Olive St., Rockford IL. Eulogy and Prayers will be held at 4:00 PM.
