Carolyn Lindquist Obituary

Carolyn Adeline Lindquist of Loves Park, Illinois, went to be with her Lord on December 12th 2025, after a long illness.

She was married to Richard Alan Lindquist, whom she met at a dance while he was stationed at Forbes Air Force base in Topeka, Kansas. Richard said he took one look at her and he knew he was going to marry her. They married on November 1, 1958, and spent the last 67 years together.

Carolyn graduated from Topeka High in 1958.

She was an amazing cook, home interior consultant, and homemaker for years until her 2 boys were grown.

She went back to school to get her realtor's license. She worked at Whitehead Realty, where she excelled. Carolyn was very financially savvy, which she learned from her Father and it allowed her and Richard to retire and spend winters in Florida, where she made a beautiful home for them. Carolyn's children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were some of the most important things to her, as well as her church and physical health. She enjoyed riding motorcycles with Richard and taking trips with the Christian Motorcycle Association. She was a beautiful person inside and out.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Lindquist; children, David (Elise) Lindquist, Cindy Lindquist, and Diana Lindquist; grandchildren, Alan and Austin Lindquist; great-grandchildren, Kyetin, Kylee, Karmyn, Arielle, Avianna, Alijah, Katelynn, Makayla, and Angel; sister, Lavonne Deguise; brother in law, Robert(Judy) Lindquist; sister in law, MaryAnn Propes; nieces and nephews, Terry Finton, Michael Finton, Cynthia Chapman, Sandra VanBlaricon, Robert Lindquist, Jodi Williams; close friend, Rene' Worden. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lila Thompson; son, Ron Lindquist; nieces and nephews, Kirk, Jill, Jay, and Lonnie.

A private ceremony with family will be held at a later date.
