Carl "Terry" J. Mera, II

Carl “Terry” J. Mera, II, 77, of Belvidere, IL, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, just one day before his birthday. He was born on May 20, 1947, in Rockford, IL.

Terry was a true gentleman who loved his family very much. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved the beautiful flowers in his yard, betting on horses, flea markets, pinball machines, and keeping up with everything that his family was involved in.

Terry is survived by his sister, Melody Mera-Layng; partner, Barb Hyser and her children, Angie (Sasha) Lofquist and Ryan Hyser, and her grandchildren, Austin (Melanie) Lofquist and Gavin (Claire) Lofquist; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Carl J. Mera; mother, Evelyn Greer; grandparents, Charlie and Evelyn Greer and Joseph and Jenny Mera; sisters, Darla (Pepper) Jones, Carla (Penny) Stienecker and Molly (Mar) Young; fur babies, Nikki, Tasha, and Rosie.

Per his wishes, there will be no funeral services, but in his honor, please do a kind deed for someone today.
