Caleb James Morris, aka “Dub”, 26, of Loves Park, Illinois, passed away on December 24, 2024. Caleb was born on April 22, 1998, to his parents, John Morris, Sr. and Anitra Snodgrass. He will be remembered for his deep love of family, his playful spirit, and his commitment to those he cared for, especially his son, Ryan, who was his pride and joy.
Caleb was an active and dedicated member of the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (J.R.O.T.C.), a program he took great pride in. He was also a passionate gamer, often streaming and playing video games with his brothers. Together, Caleb and his three brothers—John, Michael, and Taylor—shared a unique bond, referring to themselves as "The Turtles," each of them representing one of the beloved characters from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, a tradition they had since childhood.
A lover of country music, Caleb also enjoyed singing and sharing his musical talents with those closest to him. His sense of humor, warmth, and generous spirit were hallmarks of his personality, and he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Caleb is survived by his parents, John Morris, Sr. and Anitra Snodgrass; his son, Ryan Morris; his brothers, John Morris, Jr., Michael Morris, and Taylor Morris; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces. Caleb's large family and many friends will carry his memory forward with love. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Deborah Walden, Barbara Wicker, and Sue Morris; his grandfathers, Dan Grahams, Roger Morris, Sr., and Richard Wicker; and several aunts and uncles.
A celebration of Caleb's life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Firstborn Ministries Church, 8213 N. Alpine Road, Loves Park, IL 61111, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please send donations directly to the church.
