Bruce R. Johnson

Bruce Richard Johnson, 76, passed away November 25, 2024.  He was born May 30, 1948. He graduated from Rockford East High School 1967 and then served in the Navy from 1967 to 1971.

Bruce’s favorite pastime was playing Co-Rec softball and volleyball, taking canoe trips in Wisconsin with friends, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survived by his wife, Michele; son, Erik Johnson (Damon Bridges); daughter, Becky Johnson McGarry (Tim Nylander); sisters, Cathy (Tony) Pfaff and Edie (Allen) Nyen; and grandchildren, Meghan, Melanie, Amanda, Kaylee, Shannon, and Colin.  Predeceased by his parents, William and Ethel Johnson, and sister, Sue Ellen Stebritz.
