Brian L. Claeyssen

Brian L. Claeyssen, 57, of Cherry Valley, IL, passed away with family by his side after a sudden illness on November 17, 2025. Born on November 26, 1967, in Belvidere, IL, to his parents, Frank Claeyssen and Donna Burton. Brian was a graduate of Jefferson High School.

Brian worked as a mechanic for several car repair shops, including Chrysler repair services. Brian had also worked for Abar and Ipsen. Brian had many hobbies in life; his two favorites were NASCAR and fishing. He loved taking kids and taking them with him on his fishing trips, camping, ice skating, and to car races.

The family would like to extend special thanks to all the tender care and support they received from their good friends, Sue Esser, Debbie, and Goose Rhienghans.

Survived by his mother, Donna Claeyssen; brother, Jeff Claeyssen; special friends at “The Lucky Dog” and “Wild Cherries”, Tommy, Jason, Ernie, Craig, Booner, and many more. Predeceased by his father, Frank Claeyssen; and siblings, Brad and Susann Claeyssen.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Wild Cherries and from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Lucky Dog. The family asks, please no flowers.
