Brenda L. Woodard

Brenda L. Woodard, 64, of Rockford passed away on April 27, 2025 after a long illness. She was born June 29, 1960 the daughter of Larry and JoAnn (Crawford) Padgett Sr. She attended Harlem High School. She married her husband, James Woodard on March 10, 1978. She cherished spending time with her family, listening to music, and had a sweet spot for sneaking M&M candies. 

Survivors include her husband, James; mother, JoAnn Webster; children, Sandy and Jennifer; grandchildren, Brandon Drowns, Timothy Simpson, Randy Foxhoven Jr. and Christopher Foxhoven; great-grandchild, Azariah; sisters, Elizabeth (Robert) Mortimore, Debra Foxhoven, Laura (Tom) Ramsey and Rebecca (John) McElmeel; brother, Larry Padgett Jr.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her father, Larry Padgett Sr.; step-father, Barry Webster and son, James Woodard Jr. 

Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 1, 2025 in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel - 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park with a visitation from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
