Bonnie J. Bolin

Machesney Park – Bonnie J. Bolin, 68, passed away on October 11, 2011. Born November 27, 1942, in Lone Rock, Wisconsin to James and Helen (Devine) Martin. Married Jim Bolin on January 16, 1960 in Lone Rock. She loved her teaching job of 43 years at Rock Cut Elementary School. Bonnie also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and watching the Chicago Cubs, the Bears and the UW Badgers. She was an active Democrat and was instrumental in the foundation of the Harlem Federation of Teachers. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Jim; sons, Randy (Terry) Bolin of Chicago and Mark (Leslie) Bolin of Machesney Park; grandchildren, Brock Bolin of Kalispel, MT, Grant Bolin of Rockford, Drake Bolin of Roscoe, Maggie Bolin of Chicago, Michelle (Dan) Mellgren of Chicago and their 2 children, Melissa (Jason) Nelson of Ohio and their 3 children, and Eric Bolin, Ethan Bolin, Erin Bolin and Megan Traynor, all of Machesney Park; and sisters, Ann (Albert) Greenheck of Lone Rock, Wisconsin, Sally (Bert) Di Fiore of S. Pasadena, California and Nancy Chellevold of Summit, New Jersey; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15 at the Loves Park VFW, 2018 Windsor Road.
