Bonnie L. Block

Bonnie L. Block, 81, of Rockford, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025. She was born on March 7, 1943, in Rockford, the daughter of Kenneth and Mabel (Green) Warner. Bonnie graduated from West High School and Northern Illinois University. She married Richard C. Block on June 11, 1966; he predeceased her in December 2002. Bonnie was employed by the Rockford Public School District as an elementary school teacher until her retirement in 1998. She dedicated her life to educating and inspiring youth. Bonnie will be remembered for her sense of style, social graces, and love of entertainment. She found joy in planning and hosting gatherings, from neighborhood bonfires to elegant holiday dinner parties.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer (Terry) McHugh; and special friends, Michelle, Matt, Megan, and Allie Vosberg.

Memorial service will be at 2:00pm with a visitation from 1:00pm until the service on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Loves Park Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111.
