Binh Ngoc Nguyen

Binh N. Nguyen, age 55, of Rockford, IL, passed away due to complications from COVID-19 on Tuesday, January 18, after fighting a long, valorous battle. Binh is survived by his wife, Tuyet Nguyen; his children, Cuong, Manh, Kimmy, and Quy Nguyen; his siblings; his cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and two younger siblings.

Binh was born in Bien Hoa, Dong Nai, Vietnam on October 8, 1966. On March 6, 1989, he married his best friend, Tuyet. Together, they welcomed four wonderful children into the world. His family was a vital part of his life. He was a loving husband and devoted father. He spent his life doing everything he could to support his family and made sure everyone was safe and sound. Binh was an exceptional carpenter. He used his skills to help members of his community build and repair their homes and places of work. Binh was a spiritual man. He used his skills to repair the interior and exterior of many places of worship. Binh was also a traveler. He enjoyed traveling with his family to Vietnam and visiting their extended family. He was an amazing cook. He loved to cook for his family and also shared his delicious food with friends and neighbors. Binh grew some of his ingredients in the backyard of his home using his gardening skills. He also grew beautiful flowers every spring. Binh enjoyed using his cameras to record and document his precious memories with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to have known him.

Services will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111. A funeral ceremony is scheduled at 9:00am. Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 1:30pm.
