Billy J. Peppers

Billy J. Peppers, 78, of Rockford, Illinois, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021. Billy was born on March 30, 1943 in Phil Campbell, Alabama. Son of Manley and Ada (Halman) Peppers. He married Linda on July 1, 1966. Billy was a wonderful husband and father. His grandsons all had 4 legs. He spent most of his life working as a mechanic and helping others with their cars.

He was loved and will be missed by wife, Linda; sons, Derrick (Michelle) and Joshua (Jill). He is survived by his sister, Faye Nix; brother-in-law, Gene Neece; sisters-in-law, Opal Peppers, Phyllis Peppers, Joyce (Karl) Zimmerman; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; sisters, Laura (Sis) Jones, Dorothy (Jeanette) Taylor, Peggy Neece; and brothers, Prentice Lee (P.L.) Peppers, Harold (Buck) Peppers, and Manley Peppers, Jr.

Funeral service will be at 2:00pm with a visitation from 1:00pm until the service on Thursday, October 7, 2021 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. Burial in New Milford Cemetery.
