Beverly J. Beach

Beverly Jean Beach, 87, of Loves Park, IL, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on January 29, 2026. She was born on May 19, 1938, to Paul and Glenna (Jonas) Todhunter. She attended Harlem schools and graduated from Harlem High School.

On September 3, 1955, Beverly married the love of her life, Boyd Beach, in Rockford, IL. Together they shared more than 70 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on family and love.

Beverly devoted her life to her family as a full-time homemaker, lovingly raising six children. She took great pride in caring for her home and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved.

She could often be found outdoors tending to her garden and flowers. Beverly enjoyed bowling, decorating for the holidays, attending gas engine and tractor shows, and playing Yahtzee with her dear friend, Joan. Her warmth, steady presence, and generous spirit touched all who knew her. Beverly also liked roller skating and seeing Doris Day movies in her younger years.

The family extends special thanks to Mercyhealth Hospice nurse, Raylene, for her compassionate care and support.

Beverly is survived by her devoted husband, Boyd; her children, Debbie (Dave) Fread, Dan Beach, Doug Beach, Dean Beach, and Darlene (Jeff) Ward; her grandchildren, Traci (Scott) Burkardt, Matthew (Lorri) Fread, Christine (John) Slaughter, Ralynn (Bob) Pointer, Justin Snow, J.P. (Casey) Beach, and Emily Beach; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Linda Sonneson, Joan Locascio, Barbara Newman Kuzel, Sileena Crawford, and Debbie Hudson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Dale Beach; and her granddaughter, Deana Klaman.

A Memorial Service will take place at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, in Honquest Family Funeral Homes with Crematory, Mulford Chapel - 4311 N. Mulford Rd. Loves Park, IL. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at 2321 Harlem Crest Road, Loves Park, IL, 61111.
