Betty J. Fiori

Betty J. Fiori, 94, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2022 at St. Anne Center.  Betty was born on May 18, 1927 in Rockford.  She married Louis Fiori, Jr. on May 20, 1950 and they enjoyed 61 years together until his passing in 2011.

Betty devoted her life to her family.  She was known to all as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She cherished her relationships with family and friends and was always ready to provide help and support to anyone in need.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Betty enjoyed golfing, bowling, bocci and taking trips to casinos.  She was a longtime member of Verdi Club Women's Auxiliary, Tuesday Niners golf league at Sandy Hollow, as well as a member of several bowling leagues.

She is survived by sons, Mike (Julie) and Mark (Maureen); grandchildren, Russell, Lindsay (Nick) Bullock; great-grandchildren, Nora and Theo Bullock; as well as many nieces and nephews; and special nephew, Jim (Jeanine) Kleczewski.  Predeceased by her parents, Mike and Nellie Blascoe; husband, Louis; sisters, Ellen, Stella and Evelyn; brothers, George, Mike, Ben, Bill and Ed.

Funeral service will be at 11:00am with a visitation from 10:00am until the service on Thursday, May 5, 2022 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park, IL 61111.  Father William Wentink will officiate.  Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago, IL.
