Betty A. Ingersoll

Rockford- Betty A. Ingersoll, 65, was united with the Lord on Friday, February 3, 2012. Born April 22, 1946 to Francis Lee and Della (Daugherty) King in Ohio. Married James Ingersoll Feb. 23, 1963. Together they were planning to celebrate their 50th anniversary with their two children. Betty was such a beautifully spirited woman always putting everyone’s needs before her own. She was the best cook, known for her fudge at Christmas time and her delicious potato soup. No one ever left her house hungry. She appreciated the beauty of the river and was dedicated to feeding the wildlife every morning. At the end of the day she was happy when everything went right. Survivors include husband of 49 years, James; children, Tammy Murphy and Michael Ingersoll; brothers, Robert (Kathy) King and Jerry King; sisters, Shirley and Wanda King; grandchildren, Della and Vinnie; great-grandchild, Ryan. Predeceased by sister, Diane Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family. Services to be announced at a later date; cremation rites accorded.
