Beryl Dean Hemphill

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beryl Dean Hemphill, 95, of Rockford, IL who passed away on May 3, 2025, at Javon Bae Hospital. He was born in April 2, 1930, in Orangeville, IL. Beryl bravely served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged.  He retired as a machinist from Barber Colman Company. He loved his family dearly. His other passions were bowling, fishing, singing karaoke and dancing with his wife. In his later years, he enjoyed watching old westerns and other shows on TV.

Beryl is survived by his son, Curtis Dean Hemphill; grandchildren, Kyle Dean (Courtney) Hemphill and Amber Lynn Hemphill; great- grandchild, Harper Lynn; sister, Ann Kuster. Predeceased by his wife, Beverly (Kleinert) Hemphill; parents, Albert and Elta (Bennehoff) Hemphill.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory–Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL, 61111, at 12:00 PM with a memorial visitation starting at 11:00 AM until time of service. We will be celebrating the lives of both Beryl and his wife, Beverly.
