Berniece L. March, 95, of Loves Park passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Javon Bea Hospital–Riverside. Born May 17, 1925 in Grand Junction, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Anna (Cody) Bouchard. Married Chester March on August 19, 1943.
Survivors include her son, Steven (Linda) March; ten grandchildren, Jim (Laurie) Keeton, Brian (Marce) Keeton, Marty (Patsy) Martin, Becky (Joe) Moberly, Rachel (Matt) Cassady, Jason Norton, Amanda (Gary) Kieper, Lori (Rob) Romero, Shandra (Jim) Ankar, and Lisa Richard; twenty-six great-grandchildren; sons-in-law, Harry Martin and John Townsend; special friend and caregiver Anita; beloved dog, Nemo; and numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends. She is predeceased by her parents; loving husband, Chester March; daughters, Donna Martin, Connie March, and Sharon Stohl; son, Kevin March; daughter-in-law, Phyllis March; son-in-law, Dr. Sam Stohl; great-grandson, Nathaniel Romero; and sisters, Helen Burdick and Rosemary Ames.
Berniece along with her husband Chester owned and operated an antique and used furniture store, Chester’s Trading Post, for many years. Berniece was a long-time member of City First Church which she dearly loved. Berniece fiercely loved her family and enjoyed caring for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 with a walk-through visitation from 11:00am until the service in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park. Service will be officiated by her grandson, Pastor Marty Martin. Please follow social distancing guidelines as recommended by the CDC; masks are required. Private burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
