Barbara Zimmerman Obituary

Barbara E. Zimmerman, 76, passed away on April 13, 2021 following a brief illness in Rockford, IL. Barb was born on July 11, 1944 in Rockford, IL to Sylvan and Blanche (Lyons) Happ. Barb married Frank Zimmerman, the love of her life, on June 24, 1967 and they shared 53 wonderful years together. Barb was a member of St. Mary's Church in Byron, IL. Barb enjoyed spending time with her four grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Frank; children, Nicole (Tim Kane) Johnson and Frank (Maggie) Zimmerman; grandchildren, Brianna (Joseph) Heathscott, Connor Johnson, Zachary Zimmerman, and Patrick Johnson; and sister, Mary Klein. Barb was preceded in death by both parents and a brother.

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send any memorials to the family if led to do so.
