Barbara E. Tunison

Barbara (Haugdahl) Tunison, 78, of Beloit, WI passed away October 16, 2023. Barbara was born on June 19, 1945, in Rockford, IL to her parents Walter and Linea (Peterson) Haugdahl. She was a graduate of East High School.

Barbara worked as a cashier for many different stores: Barber-Colman, Magna, Woodman’s, Hilander, and Maid-Rite. Barbara loved spending all her free time with her family. She also really enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. She will be dearly missed by so many.

Survived by her children, Mark (Cheryl) Tunison and Tracy (Phil) Kitzman; grandchildren, Alyssa and Trevor Tunison, Kelsey and Connor Johnson; great-grandchild, Jeremih Johnson; many cousins and great friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, David Tunison; parents, Walter Haugdahl, Linea Haugdahl, Karin Adolphson; brother, James Adolphson; and mother-in-law, Olga Gossett.

Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00pm to 6:00pm Monday, November 6, 2023 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 827 – 16th Street, Rockford, IL 61104.
