Barbara Brauer Rogers, 92, passed away on March 4, 2025. She is survived by her identical twin sister, Betty Brush of Loveland, CO; three sons, Mike (DeAnne) of Plano, TX, Rick (Julie) of Ellison Bay, WI, and John "Chip" (Deb) of Eugene, OR; five grandchildren, Andrea, Stephen, Matthew, Thomas, and Benjamin; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John; her other twin sister, Constance "Connie"; and her brother, Donald.
Barb graduated from Lakewood High School near Cleveland, OH and attended Bowling Green State University, where she met John. They married in 1952 and moved to the Rockford area. While managing their home and raising their boys, Barb was a wonderfully kind person who enjoyed making people smile, remembering birthdays, visiting neighbors and friends, bowling, playing card games, and singing along with records, the radio, and the piano. Barb worked with Manpower and particularly enjoyed unique jobs like mystery shopping and wearing promotional costumes (such as a bee or bunny). She also worked in sales for Magnified Promotions and the Rockford Park District, where she relished meeting new people and the challenges of making a sale.
