Audrey J. Curatolo, 84, of Roscoe, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 surrounded by those she loved. She was born in Belvidere, IL on July 20, 1934, the sixth daughter of Edwin and Helen (Harnish) McLean. She graduated from Hononegah Community High School in 1952. She married Frank Curatolo on February 16, 1957 at St. Thomas Church in Beloit, WI and they celebrated 61 years together. They were blessed with two children, Jim and Julie.
She had served as a member of the Village of Roscoe Planning Commission and was active as a Roscoe Beautification Committee member. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family, crossword puzzles, reading, and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Curatolo of Roscoe; two children, James Curatolo of Oakdale, CA and Julia (Steven) Haseleu of Lake Mills, WI; 4 grandchildren, Aislynn Haseleu, Samuel Haseleu, Jadyn Haseleu and Bryanna Cotta; 4 sisters, Helen George of Roscoe, Darlene Green of Roscoe, Shirley Dewey of Orange Park, FL and Doris Fisher of Roscoe; as well as many loved nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Her parents; her sister, Katherine; and six brothers-in-law precede her in death.
The family wishes to express a special thank you and gratefulness to Northern Rockford Hospice and Kathy Kliebe for the wonderful care and compassion given to Audrey and her family.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00pm on Sunday, July 29, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 11342 Main Street, Roscoe, IL 61073. Funeral service will be at 10:30am on Monday, July 30, also in the funeral home, with Pastor Dan Herman of Old Stone Church officiating. Burial in Roscoe Cemetery. Donations may be given to the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department.
