Audrey Ann Cismesia

Our beautiful superhero princess, Audrey Ann Cismesia, was welcomed into God's heavenly kingdom on August 10, 2023.  Audrey brought light and joy to everyone around her. She was loved for her smile, hugs, happiness, and laughter.  Besides her family and friends, Audrey loved Disney princesses most of all.

Audrey is survived and dearly missed by her parents, Jeff and Amanda Cismesia; sister, Hannah Cismesia; grandparents, Daniel and Charlene Cismesia, Mike and Brenda Stretz, and Doug Lake; aunts, Megan Cismesia, Renee (Mike) Peterson; cousins, Oliver and Owen Peterson; and grandparent's dog, Payton. In addition to her family, Audrey was loved and supported through her incredible community at the Superhero Center for Autism and Caravel Autism Health. 

A quiet visitation for Audrey will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural St. Rockford, IL 61107. A family-friendly celebration of life service for Audrey will take place at Our Saviors Lutheran Church on Sunday, August 20, 2023, at 2:00PM, with a dessert reception to follow. Please park in the main lot at Our Savior’s, 3301 Corbridge Lane, Rockford. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Disney costume or attire.  

In lieu of gifts to the family, donations can be made in honor of Audrey to the Superhero Center for Autism in Loves Park, IL or CURE Epilepsy.

We wanted to provide some additional information regarding Audrey’s funeral service this coming Sunday, 8/20/23:

The visitation will be from 12:30pm to 1:30pm in the upper “Bridge” sanctuary at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. There is a small parking lot and a direct entrance at 3300 Rural St. For additional parking, the larger lot is at 3301 Corbridge Ln. Guests staying for the Celebration of Life service may wish to park in the larger lot. Upon entering the church from Corbridge Ln., there will be signs and attendants to let you know how to get to the upper sanctuary for the visitation. The visitation will be open casket, with no speaking or message, but rather a time for loved ones to say goodbye to Audrey and spend some time in quiet reflection or prayer.

The Celebration of Life will be from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the main worship center. We recommend using the entrance at 3301 Corbridge Ln. for this service.

There will also be childcare provided for both the visitation and celebration of life, including a staffed nursery and open gym. A dessert reception will follow the Celebration of Life service at 3pm.

The burial will be private.
