Rockford – Arthur “Gene” Ashcraft, 44, of Rockford died March 24, 2008 in Swedish American Hospital. Born January 19, 1964; son of Ernest and Margaret (Alexander) Ashcraft. Gene was a machine operator. Survivors include mother, Margaret; son, Cody; daughters, Jennifer and Krystal Ashcraft; their mother, Margaret Ashcraft; brother, Ernest (Karen) Jr.; sisters, Louann Ashcraft, Virginia (Jeff) Ashley, Paula (Curt) Ashley, and Janet Ashcraft; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Rockford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd.
