Angelo Cantore

Angelo Cantore, 77, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 10, 2019, at the Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford. He lived in Poplar Grove, Illinois with his wife of 54 years, Angeline Cantore, who was proudly the love of his life. 

Angelo was born to Antonio and Carmela Cantore, August 21, 1942 in Triggiano, Italy. After making his journey over from Italy to the United States, he started a job at the Gonnella Company. He then married Angeline Cantore on September 18th, 1965 and started a beautiful family. 

He is survived by his beloved wife, Angeline Cantore; son, Antonio Cantore; brothers, Phil Cantore and Vince Cantore; sister, Costontina Nardulli, granddaughters; Terasa Battistoni and Gabriella Perchelli, great-grandsons; Liam Perchelli and Gianluca Battistoni.

Angelo was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rosanne Cantore; and brother, Peter Cantore.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Poplar Grove United Methodist, 105 E. Grove St., Poplar Grove, IL 61065.
