Angelique N. Wilks

Angelique N. Wilks, 49, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018. She was born April 26, 1968 in Los Angeles, CA to Clifton and Vernice McFarland. She married Ronald Wilks, Sr. on August 30, 1991 in Belvidere, IL. Angelique was a stay-at-home mom who was passionate about singing and reading. She enjoyed old films, music, and gardening with her husband. Her greatest joys in life were her seven children and nine grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was kind and compassionate to everyone she met, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. She always stayed positive about life and loved living every day.

Angelique is survived by her husband, Ronald Wilks, Sr.; children, Ronald Wilks, Jr., Shane Wilks, Cody Wilks, Nicholas Wilks, Alexandria Wilks, Sabrina Wilks, and Ethan Wilks; mother, Vernice McFarland; father, Clifton McFarland; brother, Nevin McFarland; sister, Erica McFarland; and her nine grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5-8pm on Friday, March 23, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park 61111. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, March 24, also in the funeral home. Burial to follow at Belvidere Cemetery followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to help cover these unexpected funeral expenses.
