Amber Morgan Obituary

Amber Nicole Morgan, 38, of South Beloit, IL, passed away peacefully after a long illness on December 20, 2025. Amber was born on May 15, 1987, in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Scott Phillips and Sheila Ishmael. She was raised and educated in Rockford and graduated from Harlem High School in 2005.

In June of 2010, Amber married the love of her life, Daniel Morgan II, in Loves Park, IL, and he survives.

Amber devoted her career to caring for others. She worked as a caregiver and CNA in various healthcare facilities and provided private in-home healthcare, always offering compassion, patience, and kindness to those she served.

Amber had a creative spirit and many interests. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, listening to music, drawing, and was a devoted fan of Taylor Swift. She was also a proud member of Girl Scouts and remained closely connected to Girl Scout Troop 1303. Amber cherished her friendships deeply and held a special place in her heart for Autumne, Vicki, Cristine, Lauren, and Norma.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Serenity Hospice House, especially the nurses and CNAs whose care and compassion meant so much. Special thanks are given to hospice nurse Terry and CNA Tracy for their exceptional support.

Amber is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Morgan II; her beloved daughter, Emily Morgan; her father, Scott Phillips; her father-in-law, Dan Morgan; and her grandparents, Ruby “Nana” Castor and Ron “Papa” Castor. She is also survived by her sisters, Katie B. (Scott Greenland) Ishmael and Ravin Phillips; her brother, Jai Phillips; her brother-in-law, Drew Morgan; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Maci, Miles, Riley, and Emberly. Amber also leaves behind her beloved cats, Steven, Frito, and Ronan, who brought her great comfort and joy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sheila Ishmael, and her mother-in-law, Sheryl Morgan.

Amber will be remembered for her gentle heart, creativity, and unwavering love for her family, friends, and those she cared for.

Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later date.
