Alice Cork Conant Obituary
Alice Marie Cork Conant, 77, of Rockford passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 20, 2020 with her loving husband by her side. Born July 22, 1942 in Hampshire to William and Esther (Sandwald) Hennig. Married Lee E. Conant December 23, 1981 in Rockford. Employed by JM Grimstead and retired from Stamm Tool in 2002. Alice enjoyed going to the casino and car shows. She had a zest for life and was known for being quite the pistol at times. Alice always spoke her mind; however, she had a heart of gold that she will always be remembered for.
Survivors include husband, Lee E. Conant of Rockford; step children, Scott (Brenda) Conant of Aurora, CO, Todd (Stacy) Conant of Elizabethtown, KY, Kaylee (Raphael) Diaz, of Rockford; grandchildren, Daniel Diaz; brothers, Edward Henning of Hampshire, IL, Alvin Henning of Hampshire, IL; nephews, Paul, Ken, David; and niece, Kristine. Predeceased by parents; brothers, William, Lee; and sister, Mary.
A celebration of life is to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to be used in Alice’s name.
