Albert "Papa" Holt

Albert "Papa" Holt, 87, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Born January 15, 1933 in Amy, MO to Roy and Nora (Carroll) Holt. A veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. Married the love of his life, Betty Lea Easley on February 28, 1952 in West Plaines, MO. They shared 68 years of marriage together, Betty meant everything to Albert. Albert was a member of the 20th Street Church of Christ Church. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

Survivors include wife, Betty Holt; children, Michael Allan Holt, Jean (Michael); grandchildren he cherished, Julia, Jamison; sister, Betty Lou; beloved sister-in-law, Neita “Aunt Jean" Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; and brothers, Ralph, Kenneth, Donald and Dale.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2020 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2020 in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, Rockford.
