Veronica "Nikki" A. Noble, 73, of Rockford and formerly of L'Erable, IL, died Friday, July 20, 2018, after a sudden illness. The daughter of Adlore and Veronica Dwyer Simoneau, she was born in Watseka on her parent's wedding anniversary, September 25, 1944. Veronica married Edward L. Noble January 21, 1967; he died March 3, 2004.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Simone and Jeffery Welter of Franklin, Tennessee, and Robert and Danielle Hopkins of Rockford; two sons, Brendan E. Noble and Brett E. Noble, both of Rockford; five grandchildren, Kirsten and Kaitlyn Otten, Ryan Welter, Emma Hopkins, and Lincoln Noble; two sisters, Rosemary Glenney of Conroe, Texas, and Therese Simoneau of Clifton; four sisters-in-law, Mary Kay Ellis of Mahomet, Ruth Ann Noble of Paxton, Rosalie Simoneau of Clifton, and Diane Willrodt of Atascocita, Texas; two great-grandsons; and many nieces, nephews, and great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her husband, are her parents; two brothers, Joseph B. Simoneau and Jon A. Simoneau; a sister, Yvonne M. Chandler; three brothers-in-law, Eugene Ellis, Matthew "Tom" Glenney, and Gerald Chandler; and a nephew, Matthew Thomas Glenney III.
Cremation rites were accorded. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in L'Erable, IL.
